Our library operates on a flexible schedule, allowing students to visit the the library, attend classes, join clubs, and check out new books on a regular basis, and as needed. Students may visit the library before school and throughout the day.

Collaborative library lessons, developed by the librarian and the classroom teacher, are offered in the library and the STEAM lab.

In the library, our goal is to welcome, assist, and support all staff members and students. Please consider the library as a powerful tool for purposeful learning!

Student Checkout:

K-1st Grade students checkout as a class once a week. They are also encouraged to checkout independently, before school and during the school day, whenever the teacher allows it.

2nd-5th Grade students are encouraged to visit the library independently, checking out as often as needed, before school and during the school day, whenever the teacher allows it.

Ms. Martin loves to see all her students, and invites them to visit the library as often as possible.

If you feel your student isn't visiting the library enough, please visit with Ms. Martin and/or your child's teacher. We will assist your child, and brainstorm ways to encourage them to come and check out all that we have to offer.

Overdues and Lost/Damaged Books:

All student books are checked out for two weeks at a time, and may be renewed. We never assign fees for late books. Students are billed for damaged or lost books, but only for the replacement cost. (Please note: we do not accept books from Amazon, etc., in lieu of replacement costs, as we purchase specially reinforced copies from an approved library vendor.)

Book donations:

We do not accept used or donated books. Have books to donate? Reach out to your child's classroom teacher or to your favorite charitable organization. They may know someone who can use them.

We look forward to nurturing your child's love of reading!
