Library Classes:
Library times are offered at
both fixed and flexible, as needed, opportunities. My goal is to help,
support and welcome staff members and students in any way possible.
Please consider the library as a powerful tool for purposeful learning.
Programming includes:
- Storytimes
- Booktalks
- Library Lessons
- PBL/Inquiry
- Lesson Design
- Collaborative Lessons
- Tech Assistance
- Research Assistance
Student Checkout:
Students may checkout during library
classes and anytime the library is open. Students may check out two or
more books at a time, depending on student/teacher needs. Student books
are checked out for two weeks at a time, and may be renewed. Overdue
books may be left in the library in designated check in areas.
Let's work together to encourage our students to come in often! We love to see everyone in the library!
Overdues and Lost/Damaged Books:
There are never fines for
overdue books, but students with overdue books may not check out new
materials until the books are returned or paid for. Students are billed for overdue, damaged or lost books.
Bluebonnet Books:
Each year, the Texas Library Association selects twenty outstanding books for grades 3-6. These “
Bluebonnet Nominees”
are promoted in schools across the state each school year. Students
who read five or more Bluebonnet books are eligible to participate in
the official vote for official Texas Bluebonnet Book Award in January.
Bluebonnet Lunch Bunch Club meets on Fridays during 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade lunch periods.
Book Fair:
TBA
We look forward to nurturing your student in the library this year!
